Professional Development and Mentoring Program
The Center for Musculoskeletal Research Professional Development and Mentoring Committee has created a program to provide CMSR Faculty and Trainees the environment, counseling, encouragement, and guidance to become successful independent investigators.
A series of bi-weekly sessions has been launched to help Faculty/Trainees navigate many of the aspects of an academic research career. The format of these discussions will be an informal exchange of ideas among early stage investigators and more experienced faculty. The goal of these conversations is to provide answers to some of the questions we all face in our work life.
The sessions are held once every other week from 12:30-1:30pm in the CMSR Conference Room (1-8527). Please find the detailed schedule below:
- January 30, 2025 - What happens to my NIH grant after I submit it? How can I influence the review process?
- February 13, 2025 - Rigor and Reproducibility
- February 27, 2025 - The Specific Aims Page
- March 13, 2025 - How to Build a Team. How to Work Together, How to Deal with Rejection (Manuscripts and 'The Pink Sheet')
