Our Team

Under the expertise of the University of Rochester Clinical & Translational Science Institute (UR CTSI), the Surgical Health Outcomes Research & Reaching for Equity (SHORE) is a center designed to develop new and enhance existing research efforts through one integrated, multi-disciplinary program. This Enterprise will identify the most effective ways to organize, manage, finance, and deliver high-quality care, while reducing medical errors, controlling costs, and improving patient safety.

Megan has an interest in both perioperative and long-term colorectal surgery outcomes, system-based healthcare delays and inequities, and young-onset colorectal cancer.

Totadri Dhimal has an interest in exploring the intersection of cancer screening, health care disparities and peri-operative care, and their profound impact on patient outcome.

Bailey Hilty, M.D.

Bailey is interested in studying surgical shared-decision making, healthcare delivery and inequity, and surgical outcomes.

Molly Jacobs


Molly (Marie) Jacobs, M.D.

Molly's clinical interests are thoracici and transplant surgery. She is interested in outcomes in thoracic oncology, imporving transplantable organ supply and streamlining healthcare delivery.

Weiss
Sam Enumah, M.D.

Dr. Enumah is an endocrine surgeon with a focus on caring for patients with thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal diseases. Dr. Enumah's primary research interests are in health economics, and he is focused on understanding the intersection between health care delivery, finance, management, and quality. His previous research identified factors associated with hospital financial distress and explored associations between hospital financial performance and quality performance. He aims to investigate opportunities to improve our health care delivery system and contribute to a broader understanding of ways to deliver high value care to patients.
