Educational Resources
As a Professor I am interested in education and I have served as chair of the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) education committee. I have been fortunate that students at Rochester have appreciated my efforts (and in some cases my humor) and I have received several teaching awards.
The Present and Future of Immunology Education (Frontiers in Immunology)
This Research Topic presents a collection of articles focusing on immunology education, curricular innovation, new pedagogical strategies and teaching tools for the current and future generations of immunologists and their students. https://www.frontiersin.org/research-topics/9454/the-present-and-future-of-immunology-education
Educational Websites
Some excellent sites relevant for immunology are collected at the American Association of Immunologists (AAI) site in the education section.
Giving An Effective Talk Using PowerPoint
Below is a PDF describing my views of how to give an effective talk using PowerPoint.
Interesting Slides For Talks
There are many excellent textbooks that have slide sets associated with them. I have some unusual slides I use in giving various talks and in immunology courses. Note these are not the only kind of slides I use! These slides are designed to supplement the more "conventional" teaching slides. Hopefully they will also be of help to others.

The books below are ones that have benefitted me or my students in teaching, getting papers published, or getting through graduate school successfully. In some cases they are practical, in some cases humorous, in some cases more philosophical but I hope in all cases they will be helpful to others.
