Partnering & Grants
The Center for Community Health & Prevention partners with the community to help residents of Rochester and the Finger Lakes region lead healthier lives.
There are multiple opportunities to partner with us on health-related initiatives. Grants, Community Engagement Studios and other research initiatives are a few of the ways we can work together.
- Community Health Mini-Grants:Supported and funded by the Center and the UR Clinical & Translational Science Institute, the Mini-Grants are one-time grants up to $2,000. The next grant cycle will be in spring 2025. Up to two applicants will be selected during the application period. The funding period is July 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025. Applicants can apply to one community project each year per partnership.
- Community Engagement Studios: Studios provide an opportunity to provide input to researchers on study design, implementation and dissemination.
- Community Health Improvement Workgroup (CHIW): The CHIW accepts proposals annually to fund those who have expertise in either of the two priority areas highlighted in the 2022-2024 Monroe County Joint Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). Those two priority areas are: (1) Addressing Disparities in Maternal and Child Health (2) Promoting Mental Health and Well-Being.
