Professional Development

We offer a variety of professional development and continuing education activities aimed at strengthening and maintaining the skills of teams serving individuals with educational/behavioral needs. Customized training activities are designed based on program or student needs and may include ongoing opportunities for observation, skill instruction, modeling, rehearsal, and feedback.

Topics offered include, but are not limited to:

  • Classroom Behavior Management
  • Co-occurring Mental Health Concerns (i.e., anxiety, depression)
  • Daily Living Skills (e.g., feeding, toileting, sleep, etc.)
  • Evidence-Based Interventions for challenging behaviors (e.g., wandering, self-injury, aggression, etc.)
  • Executive Functioning Skills
  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder)
  • Promoting Communication, Peer Relationships, & Social Development
  • Teaching Emotion Regulation, Coping, & Problem-Solving Skills
