For over 30 years, the Community Consultation Program (CCP) has provided behavioral and educational consultation services and training to school teams and agencies across New York state serving individuals with disabilities. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, we use evidence-based strategies to build capacity and promote inclusion in community and educational settings, while increasing positive social, behavioral, and academic skills.

Mission Statement

The Community Consultation Program is dedicated to person-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, timely access to community resources and developmental evaluation/intervention. CCP works to develop partnerships, foster accessibility, translate research to best practice, and promote diversity and inclusion with and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

What Sets Us Apart

  • Our program was established in 1994.
  • We are a team of highly trained Masters and Doctoral level professionals, including licensed psychologists, licensed behavior analysts (LBAs), board-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs), Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW), educators, researchers, medical providers, and specialists nationally recognized in child development, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and co-occurring disabilities.
  • CCP is a community resource out of the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics division.
  • We are a non-profit organization.
  • We translate current research into best practices across school, home, and community settings.
  • We work in close collaboration with clinicians in the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic (previously known as Kirch), the Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), and the Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities Research Center (IDDRC).
