Center for Youth

Established in 1971, Center for Youth provides numerous education, prevention, and supportive services for youth, such as: a 24-hour crisis hotline, counseling, emergency shelter, transitional and residential programs, school-based services, and a crisis nursery. Center for Youth strives to “be a model for best practices in partnering with youth so all youth meet their potential.” They continuously support LIVV efforts aligned with this mission.

Monroe County Family Court

In 1998 the Monroe County Family Court established the first dedicated full service domestic violence court in New York State. The Court serves Monroe County, including the City of Rochester, and has an on site daycare to give children respite while their caregiver(s) are in proceedings. The Court has been a supportive research partner since 1999.

Resolve of Greater Rochester

In 2013, Safe Journey (which provides intervention programming for domestic violence survivors and prevention programming in the community) and Stand Up Guys (which provides educational programming to engage men and boys in preventing violence against women) joined forces and became Resolve. Resolve’s mission is focused on intervening and preventing domestic and sexual violence against women through innovative community-centered solutions. They have been an invaluable community partner for many years.

The Susan B. Anthony Center (SBAC) for Women’s Leadership

SBAC was established in 1995. LIVV director, Catherine Cerulli, JD PhD, is also the director of SBAC. Under her leadership, SBAC aims to translate research into policy and practice, serving the needs of women on campus while connecting them to community resources. SBAC and LIVV missions and initiatives are complimentary, and the bridge between both entities continues to grow.

Willow Domestic Violence Center

Willow (formerly Alternatives for Battered Women, Inc.) has provided domestic violence prevention and supportive services to the Greater Rochester community since 1976. Services include a 38-bed shelter, 24/7 hotline, short-term counseling, court accompaniment and advocacy, educational programs for K-12 and college students, and training for professionals. Willow has been involved with the development and implementation of several LIVV projects fro many years.
