Application Information
The application deadline for the 2023 – 2024 fellowship year is October 1, 2022. Interviews will be conducted from October 2022 – March 2023, for a July 2023 start date. Applicants requiring an off-cycle start date are encouraged to apply.
Prerequisites
Candidates must have satisfactorily completed an ACGME-accredited residency in general pediatrics or internal medicine/pediatrics and either a pediatric cardiology or pediatric critical care fellowship prior to entering the Cardiac Intensive Care Fellowship.

Application Submission
Please submit the following information to Jill Cholette, MD:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Medical School Transcript and Medical Student Performance Evaluation
- USMLE or COMLEX Scores
- Recent Photo
- Personal Statement
- 3 - 4 letters of recommendation from the fellowship program director and two - three other faculty members who are familiar with your work
Candidates are encouraged to visit Rochester for personal interviews with members of the faculty and to meet with current fellows, however video interviews can be arranged. We accept applications from US citizens, permanent residents of the US, and individuals with J-1 visas to work in the US. The University of Rochester does not sponsor individuals with H1B visas.
Selection criteria will include an excellent residency and fellowship performance record from ACGME-accredited programs, the personal interview and goals consistent with those of the Cardiac Intensive Care Fellowship Program at the University of Rochester.
