Medical Conditions in Pregnancy

Our multidisciplinary high-risk obstetrics team has the clinical training and expertise to diagnose and treat the wide array of medical disease and factors that can lead to a complicated pregnancy.

Some of the more common maternal conditions that may require specialized care for pregnant people include: cardiac disease, diabetes, and kidney disease. These pre-existing conditions may also lead to other issues developing for the pregnant person or her growing fetus during the gestational period. To help you and your baby have the best outcomes, planning the pregnancy, getting your disease under control and well managed prior to pregnancy, and then developing a plan for close monitoring in your pregnancy is needed.
