Program Overview

The program for brain tumors and spinal tumors is formed from a multidisciplinary group of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, scientists, administrators, secretaries, and staff drawn from departments across the University of Rochester Medical Center and campus.

It seeks to provide highly coordinated, complex care in neurosurgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, and neurology to patients afflicted with tumors of the brain and spine. It achieves this goal by combining the newest technologies and treatments available anywhere in the world with caring and compassion.

Our goal is to help patients navigate the complex issues surrounding brain and spinal cancer care.
