Research Grant Lifecycle
Our Research Administration pre- and post-award team within the department supports each of our divisions by partnering with faculty, University of Rochester administration, sponsors, and internal and external collaborators in management of the lifecycle for a grant, which includes:
Pre-Award
- Find and disseminate funding opportunities
- Support our investigators in preparing and submitting high quality research proposals
- Set up award and subaward(s)
Post-Award
- Maintain compliance and integrity in award management
- Provide financial planning and analysis for research funds
- Oversee accounting, reporting and internal controls
- Develop business analytics to provide data and insights related to the department’s research portfolio
- Provide high quality customer service to our research community
Other
- Our delegates serve as advocates for the divisions
- Build community
- Help improve and facilitate bidirectional communication
- Identify areas for improvement with the division/department
- Maximize knowledge and creativity
- Design and launch new initiatives to expand current research activities
- Participate in working groups as needed
