2. How does osteoporosis affect my possibility of having a fracture? It has been estimated that one in every two women and one in four men over age 50 will have an osteoporosis-related fracture. But remember, the upside of osteoporosis is that it is treatable.
3. Once I've been admitted for a fracture, how long will it take for me to get surgical treatment? Our fracture patients are admitted to surgery in under 24 hours (on average).
4. What happens if I need further rehabilitation assistance after my discharge? Rehabilitation care is available through the Living Center at the Highlands at Pittsford, the Highlands at Brighton, and many other partner nursing facilities in the Rochester area.
