How to Apply
The University of Rochester offers a ACGME Accredited two-year Fellowship in Neurocritical Care. Our Fellowship program accepts two fellow per year via the SF Matching Program and works with the Neurocritical Care Society to acquire candidates for fellowship positions in Neurocritical care. We receive applications via the Central Application System (CAS) for fellowship positions July 1 of the following calendar year. The SF Match takes place in November. Interviews are scheduled from February - May.
Eligible candidates include current residents and board-eligible residency program graduates from an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RPSC) in:
- Neurology
- Neurosurgery
- Internal medicine
- Surgery
- Emergency medicine
- Anesthesiology/critical care medicine
International applicants:
- Have a J-1 Visa or have a U.S. citizen Permanent Resident status. No other visas will be accepted. (H1B is not acceptable)
- Have a current certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. (ECFMG)
- Have worked in clinical medicine in the United States within the last two years.
Applicants must also complete our General Medical Education (GME) application via https://redcap.link/urneuro-icu.
Required Documentation
Suitable candidates should submit the following documentation:
- Application form
- Curriculum vitae
- A letter of good standing from your residency program director
- A letter of intent or personal statement
- Three letters of recommendation
The fellowship director will evaluate these documents and invite selected candidates for an interview. All interested candidates should submit their applications to the SF Match.
