Curriculum
The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship encompasses one year of training. Fellows will spend most of their time performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory under direct supervision by the interventional cardiology faculty. One-half day per week will be spent in the outpatient clinic working directly with interventional faculty. Opportunities exist for research in collaboration with faculty. All rotations will take place at Strong Memorial Hospital. At the end of the year, the fellow will have completed the ACGME requirements for training in interventional cardiology.
On call responsibilities are confined to the interventional cardiology service, and average approximately 1 in 4 weeknights and weekends. Each year the fellow will have 4 weeks of vacation and 5 days of study leave to attend education meeting(s) relating to interventional cardiology.
