Dr. Craig Narins teaching fellows

The Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is a one-year, ACGME-accredited program designed to provide advanced training in diagnostic and interventional procedures within a high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratory.

Clinical Training

Fellows spend the majority of their time in the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Strong Memorial Hospital, performing a wide range of interventional procedures under the direct supervision of experienced interventional cardiology faculty.

In addition to procedural training, fellows will attend a half-day outpatient clinic each week, working closely with faculty to manage complex cardiovascular cases.

Research Opportunities

Fellows have the opportunity to participate in clinical or translational research projects in collaboration with faculty, contributing to advancements in interventional cardiology.

Call and Work Schedule

  • On-call responsibilities are limited to the interventional cardiology service.
  • Fellows take call approximately one in every four weeknights and weekends.

Time Off

  • 4 weeks of vacation
  • 5 days of study leave to attend educational meetings related to interventional cardiology

Program Completion

Upon successful completion of the fellowship, trainees will have fulfilled all ACGME requirements for interventional cardiology training.
