Cardiology Division Conferences at SMH
The schedule for all conference dates/locations is emailed weekly (Friday for the coming week).
Fellows participate in multiple faculty and fellow-led conferences, with dedicated morning and noon educational time each weekday.
Conferences include:
- Weekly morning report with cardiology fellows and faculty
- Summer school lectures geared toward new fellows
- Annual longitudinal fellowship didactic series
- Cardiology Grand Rounds
- Department of Medicine Grand Rounds
- Weekly echocardiography conference with Echo faculty
- 1-2 times weekly cardiac catheterization conferences with Interventional faculty and fellows
- ECG and tracing review sessions with EP faculty
- Advanced imaging lectures including nuclear and PET imaging with the Director of the Nuclear Cardiology Laboratory
- Advanced Heart Failure multidisciplinary conferences
- Monthly Adult Congenital Heart Disease lectures
- Monthly Research sessions focusing on methodology and development of fellows' research projects with dedicated cardiology research faculty
- Board review
- Journal club
- General cardiology, cath, and EP quality assurance and improvement
- Multidisciplinary conferences and didactic sessions with cardiac surgery, vascular surgery, obstetrics, neurology, critical care, and sleep medicine
