Creating a Pathway to Neuroscience Research
NEUROCITY — a Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience Commission program under the umbrella of Summer Scholars — supports undergraduate students from all colleges of The City University of New York (CUNY) to explore and experience the field of neuroscience. The 9-week research-intensive program provides experience in research labs across the University of Rochester. NEUROCITY trainees work under the mentorship of faculty, conduct lab research, attend educational seminars — including graduate school application presentations, and partake in student-run activities. The program culminates in a poster session where trainees present their summer research projects.
The Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience is dedicated to expanding access to neuroscience research and training for individuals from all backgrounds. The institute aims to provide all scholars interested in scientific research, particularly neuroscience, access to the best educational opportunities.
