Prenatal visits: Can be seen for history of lactation problems, induced lactation, medical complications of pregnancy, medication concerns, and more (often seen by lactation consultant and Breastfeeding & Lactation Medicine provider)
Postpartum visits: Can be seen by Lactation Consultant ONLY (e.g., latch problems, pumping, back to work), or LC and Breastfeeding & Lactation Medicine provider (e.g., medical problems with lactation, medication concerns, low milk supply, tongue tie)
Telelactation Appointments
Virtually connect with a lactation consultant or provider to discuss your lactation concerns and questions. A follow-up visit, either in person or virtually, may be recommended after your initial consultation. Concerns about latch, breast/nipple pain or tongue tie evaluation are best seen in person; however, we are happy to see you via telemedicine if preferred for any reason.
Note: You do not need to be a URMC patient to schedule an appointment; however, you must be in New York State at the time of your visit.
