Support & Survivorship
Support
Colorectal cancer can affect many parts of your life. The Wilmot Cancer Institute provides the most extensive support services for patients and their families in the area.
Gastrointestinal Cancer Support Group
This support group is for those with pancreatic, colorectal, liver, esophageal, stomach and other GI cancers and their carepartners. It meets monthly in the Luellen Patient & Family Resource Center (Room 1.0701) at Wilmot Cancer Center. To learn more, contact Patrice Rogers, LMSW, at (585) 275-5908 or Patrice_Rogers@urmc.rochester.edu.
Survivorship
A healthy life after cancer is the goal of every patient. But the best way to achieve that varies widely — depending on you, your type of cancer, and the treatment you received. The Wilmot Cancer Institute offers the area’s only Survivorship Program. Each patient receives a comprehensive, personalized plan for life after colorectal cancer. To learn more about the program, talk with your care team.
