About the Center for Biomedical Informatics
The Center for Biomedical Informatics at URMC serves as a community hub for collaboration across domains for experimentalists, informaticians, modelers, and clinicians. It integrates a number of CBI faculty expertise spans the gamut from basic to clinical-translational research.
The CBI will recruit 6 to 10 faculty with research programs that employ computational and bioinformatics approaches between 2017 and 2020.
Members of CBI have joint appointments with other departments or centers that pursue data driven, informatics approaches for data mining, interpretation, visualization and modeling as well as access to a range of advanced resources for computation, data generation and data access.
CBI is directed by a Steering committee Chaired by the Senior Associate Dean for Basic Research.
