Our team consists of providers, clinicians, and administrative staff who are dedicated to working with individuals and families to improve the quality of their lives.

Clinicians

Ann CornellAnn Cornell, PsyD, CEAP - Senior Director of Employer-Based Services and Faculty Practice

Dr. Ann Cornell completed her undergraduate training in psychology at the University of Rochester and then completed graduate school in clinical psychology at Illinois School of Professional Psychology/Argosy University. Ann completed a postdoctoral fellowship in primary care psychology through the University of Rochester Medical Center as chief fellow with extensive training in marriage and family therapy. Then, she completed an additional postdoctoral fellowship in interdisciplinary geriatrics. Her areas of interest include behavioral health, cognitive behavioral therapy, and developing approaches to meet the needs of physicians and residents within the University of Rochester. Ann has a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration. Her work with Behavioral Health Partners has been devoted to working with employees in healthcare systems and developing innovative ways to meet the needs of this population.

Ann CornellAdam Brownfeld, PhD, EMBA, ADHD-CCSP - Assistant Director

Dr. Adam Brownfeld obtained his doctoral degree from Gallaudet University and Executive MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology. He completed his internship and postdoctoral training at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He has extensive experience with providing psychotherapy to geriatric, Deaf, and Hard of Hearing populations as well as individuals with co-morbid medical conditions. He is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and spoken English. Adam has extensive experience in conducting psychological assessments on individuals who have or are seeking a diagnosis of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and is an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). Adam employs an integrative approach to therapy.

Debra Hoffman, PhD - Senior Clinical Supervisor

Dr. Debra Hoffman is a licensed clinical psychologist. She completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University and both her graduate and postdoctoral training at the University of Rochester. She is an expert in providing interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and prolonged exposure (PE). Debra is passionate about identifying interventions for depression and anxiety and assisting employees and their family members transitioning into parenthood.

J. MacLaren Kelly, MAPP, PhD - Senior Intern SupervisorJ. MacLaren Kelly

Dr. J. MacLaren Kelly (“Mac”) is a licensed clinical psychologist and Assistant Professor in psychiatry at URMC. Before his doctoral program, he worked on clinical research for mood, anxiety, and OCD. He received his doctoral degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and completed his internship at URMC. Following his internship, he completed postdoctoral training at URMC in geriatric oncology research and a local anxiety specialty clinic. Mac has generalist training in cognitive-behavioral therapies for adults who struggle with mood and anxiety disorders, and specialized expertise in exposure therapy for OCD and panic. He incorporates acceptance-based, mindfulness-based, and positive psychological approaches into his clinical work when relevant. He provides psychological care to all backgrounds and voices.

Kelley MaynardKelley Maynard, LMHC

Ms. Kelley Maynard completed her undergraduate education at Loyola University Maryland and obtained her master’s degree in mental health counseling at the University of Rochester. Her clinical experience includes working in a community mental health clinic as part of a multidisciplinary team and providing counseling services to college students. Kelley values a person-centered approach to treatment and enjoys collaborating with clients. She utilizes principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) to promote healing and personal growth.

Jennifer MooneyJennifer Mooney, LMHC

Ms. Jennifer Mooney completed her undergraduate education at Colgate University and a graduate degree at the University of Delaware. She earned her master’s degree in mental health counseling at St. John Fisher University. With extensive clinical experience in community mental health settings and non-profit agencies, she has worked with individuals facing challenges such as serious and persistent mental illness, domestic abuse, and financial barriers to accessing care. She is skilled at integrating evidence-based approaches, including interpersonal therapy (IPT), motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and neuroscience-informed interventions to support her clients’ unique needs. She is deeply committed to fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship and collaborating with family members, healthcare providers, and other professionals to create a holistic, client-centered approach to mental health care.

Melissa Nunes-HarwittMelissa Nunes-Harwitt, LCSW

Ms. Melissa Nunes-Harwitt holds degrees from Yale University, Nazareth College, and SUNY Brockport. She helps clients increase awareness of emotions, reflect on how past events are influencing present behavior, and learn techniques for making new choices that support their goals and values. This includes both inner work, such as acceptance and emotional literacy, and an outward focus, exploring how external systems impact mental health. Melissa strives to provide trauma-informed therapy that welcomes each person with their unique perspectives and challenges.

Michelle Solomou, LCSW-RMichelle Solomou

Ms. Michelle Solomou completed her undergraduate education at Nazareth University and her master’s in social work at Virginia Commonwealth University. Michelle has worked in community mental health clinics, university counseling centers, and employee assistance programs. Michelle has a passion for supporting all staff experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and the experiences of people with great burdens. She incorporates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy and motivational interviewing.

Kathryn Stith, LMSW

Ms. Kathryn Stith is a Licensed Master Social Worker holding degrees from Villanova University and Fordham University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Social Work at Tulane University. She has experience in multiple collaborative care settings supporting individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), stress and burnout, and grief and loss. Kathryn utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide intentional care grounded in integrity and collaborative growth.

Andrea Woodard, LMHCA. Woodard

Ms. Andrea Woodard is a licensed mental health counselor with extensive experience in human services. Andrea is devoted to understanding and supporting clients by channeling her experience and knowledge to meet everyone’s unique goals. Andrea’s approach uses cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and gestalt techniques. With well-versed experience as a mental health therapist, Andrea continuously provides quality care to all members of the URMC community.

Hillary Harter, RN, PMHN-BC

Hilary HarterMs. Hillary Harter is a registered nurse in New York with a board-certified specialty in psychiatric/mental health nursing. She graduated from Monroe Community College with an associate’s degree in nursing then graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor's in nursing. She has extensive expertise in psychiatric/mental health nursing. Hillary has held positions as assistant nurse manager and nurse manager during her time working in ambulatory psych. As UR Medicine’s Employer-Based Services RN Care Manager, she coordinates care, connects clients to services, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care.

Megan MaurerMegan Maurer, MSN, RN, PMHNP-BC

Ms. Megan Maurer is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She has a bachelor’s in psychology from Ithaca College and a nursing degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. As a nurse, she learned the value of integrating physical and mental health care. She continued to complete her master’s at the University of Rochester to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She delivers a quality, caring experience assessing the individual as a whole – from social, environmental, and biological factors – and integrates those components into their treatment plan.

George NasraGeorge S. Nasra, MS, MD, MBA

Dr. George S. Nasra is a professor of clinical psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the American University in Beirut, Lebanon, and completed psychiatry residency training at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. George runs a private practice specializing in psychotherapy and medication management. Board-certified in general psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, and psychosomatic medicine, he is enthused about quality and providing a personalized approach to patient care and treatment.

Rowena Frazier

Rowena Frazier, OAR

Ms. Rowena Frazier is an Outpatient Access Representative at BHP. She supports the practice with a wealth of experience in administration management and accounting. Rowena’s meticulous attention to detail ensures clients are scheduled for services. In her spare time, she is an active member of her church’s food pantry and clothing closet.
