Ambassador Team MembersWhether you are a patient, a family member, or a visitor, the moment you enter Strong Memorial Hospital you are surrounded by staff who care about your comfort. The members of the Guest Services department are well trained to meet your needs and can serve as problem solvers, advocates, and liaisons for you and your family. Guest Services Representatives are available daily to help you connect with your loved ones and issue a pass for your daily visits.

Guest Services Representatives are located in multiple areas of the University of Rochester’s Medical Center including: Mental Health & Wellness, Golisano Children’s Hospital, Eastman Institute of Oral Health, Emergency Department, Patient Discharge, Wilmot Cancer Institute and the Main Lobby of Strong Memorial Hospital. Conveniently positioned in the entryway of each location, a Representative is waiting to greet you with a smile and help with any of the following services:

  • Arranging wheelchair assistance for patients, families and visitors.
  • Arranging courtesy cart transportation for patients, families and visitors.
  • Providing helpful directions to any URMC patient service within the Hospital, the URMC campus, or URMC off-site locations.
  • Providing walking escorts to any URMC patient service within the Hospital.
  • Contacting taxis and medical cab transportation.
  • Providing patient location information and appointment verification.
  • Offering materials on lodging, local restaurants, shopping and attractions to visitors.
  • Arranging delivery of mail, flowers, and personal belongings for patients.
  • Directing calls to other Hospital resources or assisting you with your own unique request.
