Friends of Strong, Advantage Federal Credit Union Team Up to Give Back

Advantage Federal Credit Union (AFCU) has partnered with Friends of Strong to offer a debit card benefiting patient care at Strong.

The customized debit cards are produced on-site and available within minutes of opening your account. As an added benefit, the Friends of Strong Gift Shop is offering 10% off purchases paid for using the AFCU FOS debit card. Some exclusions apply—please see cashier for details.

Your Opportunity to Give Back

If you open a new checking account at AFCU—and choose the Friends of Strong Debit Card—a portion of each purchase you make will be given back to Friends of Strong, in support of patient- and family-centered care initiatives. The debit card will be available at all AFCU locations and anyone can choose the FOS Give Back card, including URMC employees, staff, students and volunteers.

The more you swipe, the more they give back to Friends of Strong to benefit patient- and family-centered care initiatives.

Advantage also offers a custom GCH debit card, with which AFCU will donate a portion of their profits to GCH with every use. Since 2014, Advantage has donated back over $7300 just by their members using this card.

Select the card you prefer—although the sign-on bonus is only available with the Friends of Strong card.

Advantage was established in 1931 as the Rochester City School District Teacher’s Credit Union and has served the University since 1985. Today, Advantage serves approximately 70 employee groups throughout the area.
