In 2025, Friends of Strong celebrates 50 years of service to Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends of Strong is an organization of dedicated volunteers and staff who advance the mission of UR Medicine’s Strong Memorial Hospital through volunteerism and fundraising to provide support and services to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
Share the Warmth – Men's Winter Coat Drive
As the weather gets colder and snow begins falling, there are many patients who get discharged without warm winter attire. Friends of Strong, Advantage Federal Credit Union, and Strong Memorial Hospital’s ED are collecting clean, gently used—or new—MEN’S winter coats to benefit these patients in need.
Gift a Holiday Miracle to Families in Need
Contribute this holiday season to hardworking and under-resourced parents, by providing them with gift cards so they can shop for toys, activities, books, and other meaningful gifts on their own, while still affording household essentials such as diapers, cleaning supplies, and groceries for wholesome family meals during the holidays.
