The Network is a collaborative group of 15 centers performing neonatal clinical trials and observational research. Current research endeavors include:
- The Budesonide in Babies (BiB) Trial
- Randomized Controlled Trial of Cycled Phototherapy
- Trial to Improve Red Cell Mass and Neuroprotection in Preterm Infants
- Neurodevelopmental Effects of Donor Human Milk vs. Preterm Formula in ELBW infants
- Milrinone in Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
- Moderately Preterm Infants with Caffeine at Home for Apnea Trial
- Management of the PDA Trial
- A Randomized Trial of Targeted Temperature Management With Whole Body Hypothermia For Moderate And Severe Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy In Premature Infants 33-35 Weeks Gestational Age
- Survey of Morbidity and Mortality in Very Low Birth Weight (VLBW) Infants
- Follow-Up of Infants Born Less Than or Equal to 26 Completed Weeks Gestational Age at 22-26 Months Corrected Age
- Follow-up of infants enrolled in the Hydrocortisone for BPD Trial at 5-6 years corrected age to assess functional developmental and respiratory outcomes at early school age
- Follow-up of infants enrolled in the TOP Trial at 5-6 years corrected age to assess neurological and functional outcomes at early school age based on neonatal transfusion threshold
Other research includes:
- High fidelity simulation technology for team training
- Telehealth simulation for training for neonatal emergencies
- Trial of Eat/Sleep/Console approach to neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome
