Immunization Delivery and Policy
Our group studies critical issues in child and adolescent immunization delivery and policy.
This includes studies involving:
- Vaccine-preventable diseases and diseases potentially preventable by new vaccines (e.g., rotavirus and norovirus vaccines)
- Influenza vaccination delivery (e.g., school-based flu vaccinations)
- HPV vaccination delivery
- Methods to improve influenza, HPV, and other adolescent immunization levels (e.g., reminder/recall, immunization registries, provider prompts, communication strategies)
- Vaccine financing
- Practice-based quality improvement initiatives
Our work has contributed to:
- The licensure of new vaccines like the rotavirus vaccine
- New vaccination recommendations such as universal influenza and adolescent vaccinations
- New vaccination financing
- Delivery mechanisms
- National immunization guidelines
