Wednesday, June 15, 2022
After a nearly three-year absence, Dr. Chirag Patel is returning to Nicholas Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville.
“I have been gone for the last three years, but am excited to be back at Noyes,” said Patel. “I will primarily be seeing patients with chronic pain. They come into the office to get a formal evaluation, then we develop the treatment plan from there.”
Dr. Patel is currently seeing patients at his office located inside Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. In the near future, he will be expanding his practice to St. James and Jones Memorial hospitals.
“We are incredibly grateful to have a pain management specialist of Dr. Patel’s caliber back at Noyes,” said Dr. Chad Teeters, president and CEO of Noyes Health. “Sharing his services with the Hornell and Wellsville areas will benefit a large population that otherwise would have to travel for pain management.”
Dr. Patel will be performing procedures in the operating room at Noyes, as well as at Noyes Health Services in Geneseo.
With the opioid crisis, some are concerned with visiting a pain management physician.
“With everything that has been happening lately with the opioid crisis, my specialty is interventional treatments, explained Dr. Patel. “There are many avenues to help people that don’t involve medication. I am a proponent of physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic treatment. Sometimes simple exercises or injections can offer an incredible amount of relief.”
Dr. Patel likes to work with primary care providers, orthopedic surgeons, imaging, and other specialties to develop comprehensive plans to alleviate as much pain as possible.
“We don’t want people to be in severe pain, sometimes people will be in some sort of pain,” said Dr. Patel. “It is a part of getting older. But we don’t want anyone to suffer.”
He is also expanding to add a second provider so as the practice expands, patients don’t have extended waits times to get an appointment.
“We are trying to encompass a lot of patients who otherwise wouldn’t have anywhere to go to be seen or treated,” he said.
For more information or to schedule an appointment at Dr. Patel’s Dansville office, call 585-243-0150.
For the St. James office, call (607) 385-3820
For the Jones Memorial Hospital office, call 585-596–4093.

DANSVILLE – Joanne Quait is coming to Noyes with a goal: Making Noyes Health a regional center of excellence.
Quait is the new director of the Holroyd Intensive Care Unit at Noyes Memorial Hospital. In that role, she will assure patients are getting top care while keeping their families involved, schedule employees, troubleshoot problems, and develop education for the ICU Team.
“I have and have always enjoyed the rural healthcare setting,” said Quait when asked what drew her to Noyes. “I'm also drawn to the strong sense of pride that is exhibited by the employees of Noyes Health.”
She is a familiar face at Noyes, having previously worked at Noyes in the Emergency Department as a per diem RN.
“we are very fortunate to have Joanne returning and taking a leadership role in the ICU,” said Dr. Chad Teeters, President and CEO of UR Medicine Noyes Health. “With the team of Joann and Dr. Molina leading our intensive care unit, our ability to provide critical care to the region has now been taken to a whole new level.”
A Nunda resident, Quait graduated High School from Warren Local Schools in Vincent, Ohio. She received my Associates Degree in Nursing from Genesee Community College and my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Rochester.
Quait’s experience includes: Working as a CNA at the Mt. Morris and Geneseo Skilled Nursing Facilities and at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation when they combined. After graduating nursing school she started working at Highland Hospital as an RN along with per diem work at Livingston County Hospice, LCCNR, and Noyes.
In her spare time she likes to travel, enjoy the sunshine, read, kayak, and ride her motorcycle. She also has a 17-year-old son who is graduating in June.

Dr. Jaime Molina is currently working in the Holroyd Intensive Care Unit. In addition to working in the ICU, he will also be opening a pulmonary care practice at Noyes.
“Regardless of having one of the highest incidences of pulmonary disease and lung cancer in New York State, the region has been without a permanent pulmonary specialist,” said Dr. Chad Teeters, President and CEO of Noyes Health. “This gives Noyes a much-needed service line that isn’t offered locally, so that will be incredibly helpful for the community. He also brings higher acuity level for our ICU and a skillset to better manage our patient population.”
Dr. Molina comes to Noyes from the Bath VA Medical Center.
Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican, he lived in Framingham, Mass., while his father worked on his post-graduate studies.

After training, he was recruited to direct the Pulmonary and Critical Care services at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Miss., for four years.
He then Returned to N.J. to form the Virtua Medical Group Intensivist Program based at Burlington Memorial Hospital as it expanded to form part of the Virtua Garden State Pulmonary Group covering four hospitals totaling over 1,000 beds.
