Welcome from the Chief
Welcome to the Division of Geriatrics & Aging! Our nationally recognized Division serves as the academic home to over 40 interprofessional faculty members. Formally established as a division in 2008, Geriatrics has had a strong presence at the University of Rochester and nationally for the past 50 years. Under the leadership of nationally esteemed geriatricians including T. Franklin Williams MD, Paul Katz MD, William Hall MD and Robert McCann MD, the University of Rochester Division of Geriatrics & Aging has advanced the care of older adults in our community, nationally and internationally. In our Division, we proudly assert that "all roads in Geriatrics lead to Rochester" as we have trained or supported the development of many of the nation's leaders in Geriatrics.
Our Division providers currently care for thousands of older adults each year spanning multiple care sites, including outpatient primary care, acute, post-acute, hospice & palliative care, home care, and long-term care. At the University of Rochester, our shared philosophy of holistic, individualized, and evidence based care produces high quality outcomes across the care continuum. Read about our mission and vision.
