Biological Tissue Models
Nanomembranes are useful in the creation of dual chamber (“transwell") microphysiological systems because they provide: 1) a highly permeable scaffold with a thickness that is comparable to the thickness of basement membranes and 2) an imaging quality that is far superior to alternative choices for membranes. We currently have active projects that use nanomembranes to create models of bone infection and the microvasculature.
