Graduate Students

Megan Ulbrich
IMV Immunology, Microbiology, and Virology Ph.D. Program

Megan grew up in Buffalo, NY and received her B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh.  Her work in the Dziejman lab uses multidisciplinary approaches to uncover novel effector protein functions. (Megan’s favorite protein is VopX!).   In her spare time, you can find Megan baking, gardening, hiking, and napping with her cat, Darcy.

Zirui Zhao
Research Technician

Zirui is from Jiangxi, China, and received her Biological Science BS from University of Vermont. She is interested in virulence gene regulation and is working to unravel the intertwined activities of transmembrane transcriptional regulators encoded within the V. cholerae T3SS island. Her hobbies include skiing, swimming, reading detective novels (Mr. Poirot is her favorite), and cooking. (And, she is a LEGO fan!)
