Matthew Bresler, M.D., M.B.A., Named Highland Hospital Chief of Anesthesiology

 Highland Hospital announces the appointment of Matthew Bresler, M.D., M.B.A., as Chief of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Bresler, Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology, Department of Anesthesiology, University of Rochester Medical Center and Highland Hospital, has served as Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology at Highland since 2019. He received his undergraduate degree from Brandeis University, his M.B.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Bresler succeeds Steven Finkelstein, M.D., who steps down on June 30 after serving as the department’s leader for six and a half years. Dr. Finkelstein, Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, will continue his clinical practice at Highland.
