Faculty

The Family Medicine Department has an excellent group of 8 faculty family physicians who include maternity and newborn care in their practices. We have 3 family physician faculty that perform cesarean deliveries, 5 other faculty that deliver babies, and 5 additional community family physicians on staff for maternity care. Several faculty have international and rural experience. Cesarean section training is provided by university and community-based obstetricians and  fellowship-trained family medicine faculty. We have a very collaborative relationship with the obstetrics-gynecology, midwifery and pediatrics departments, and several of our family medicine faculty serve on prominent hospital and regional maternal-child health boards.
