The combined Adult and Pediatric Rheumatology program is a four year program that results in board eligibility through both the ABIM and the ABP. Clinical time is split and the combined curriculum prepares fellows to care for children and adults with rheumatologic diseases and to understand the transition of care from adolescent to adult. The combined curriculum also focuses on research and combines adult and pediatric scholarly requirements.
Curriculum
At URMC, fellows with an interest in both adult and pediatric rheumatologic care are afforded the opportunity of a combined fellowship through the collaboration of the AIR Division in the Department of Medicine and the Rheumatology Division in the Department of Pediatrics. The curricula of both programs can be completed in the span of four years. Detailed information about the individual curricula can be found at:
Download our detailed Sample Four-Year Combined Schedule (PDF, 350K) for more information.
How To Apply
Both the adult and pediatric programs participate in ERAS. You must apply to one of the programs through ERAS and notify the other of your intent to apply for a combined program.
The Adult Rheumatology program ID number is 1503511127.
