Welcome, and thank you for your interest in our program. As a newly accredited Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program, we are seeking motivated applicants to join our robust team. We strongly believe that fellows need to be supported with graduated independence, participate and learn to conduct relevant research/scholarly activities, learn through problem-centered didactics, and also have meaningful involvement in the development of their training program. We are excited to get to know you. We look forward to exploring how we can work together to best support your training and achievement of your professional goals.

Our Mission and Vision
The mission of the University of Rochester Gynecologic Oncology fellowship program is to train fellows who provide exceptional care to the people of Western New York and its surrounding areas. Our goal is to provide fellows with the tools necessary to become board certified Gynecologic Oncologists in a safe learning environment where our team-based cancer care is of the highest quality and education and research are among our most valued priorities.
The aims of the program are to provide fellows with a robust and diverse training experience that focuses on all aspects of treating women with gynecologic malignancy including surgical and medical treatments, as well as supportive/end of life care. Additionally, our goal will be to develop skilled and efficient pelvic surgeons that will be adept at managing the additional complex gynecology cases that are often referred to our specialty for management. Fellows will be trained and mentored to develop and uphold the highest degree of ethical standards, practice evidence-based medicine, to continually evaluate their outcomes and strive to make improvements, and demonstrate excellent clinical judgement. Fellows will participate in research to ensure they have an understanding of developments in our field, are capable of critically reviewing medical literature, and understand the importance of making continued contributions to the advancements of care for women with gynecologic cancers. We aim to instill leadership values in our fellows, while at the same time allowing them to be mentors and educators to the residents and medical students that they interact with.
