Announcing Winners of Seventh Annual Regulatory Science Talent Competition

The seventh annual America’s Got Regulatory Science Talent student competition was held on February 12, 2020. This year's winners proposed innovative solutions to regulatory science challenges in food safety, quality practices in medical product manufacturing, and informing the public of prescription drug risks and benefits.

Jishyra Serrano was announced today as the first place winner of the inaugural Capturing the Future: A Smartphone Mini-Documentary Competition at the AAAS annual meeting in Seattle, WA.

TBS Student Selected as Yale Ciencia Academy Fellow

Denisse Vega-Ocasio will begin a year-long fellowship this week at the Yale Ciencia Academy for Career Development, which provides doctoral students from underrepresented backgrounds opportunities for mentoring, networking, skills development, and science outreach.

TBS Program Director, Members Recognized for Contributions to Community and Research

Timothy D. Dye, Ph.D., director of the UR CTSI’s Translational Biomedical Sciences PhD Program and two of the program’s new students, Hanna Murphy and Raven Osborn, received awards at this year’s convocation ceremony. They were recognized for contributions to science and the community, and dedication to diversity, inclusion, and multiculturalism.
