Translational Biomedical Science graduate student Janiret Narváez Miranda has been selected to take part in Yale Ciencia Academy, a highly competitive, year-long career development program for underrepresented students in biological or biomedical graduate programs.

Roman to Adapt and Evaluate Total Worker Health Program for Sign Language Interpreters

Utilizing mixed methods and clinical efficacy trial design, a project led by former UR CTSI fellowship recipient Gretchen Roman will adapt and evaluate a Total Worker Health program to improve sign language interpreter well-being.

Pisani Awarded First Robert G. Holloway CTSI KL2 Alumni Lectureship

Anthony R. Pisani, PhD, is the first recipient of the Robert G. Holloway CTSI KL2 Alumni Lectureship in Clinical & Translational Science. The lectureship was created to recognize past UR CTSI Career Development Award translational scientists and mentors who have gone on to significantly contribute to the University’s national reputation for research.

New Course to Train Translational Scientists in Ethical Awareness and Competency

Funding from the National Institutes of Health was recently approved for “Capacity Building in Bioethics for Scientists across the Translational Spectrum,” a project to develop a course that builds capacity in emerging translational researchers as they work to generate knowledge and interventions for the benefit of their field, their patients, and their communities.

Commencement 2023 featured several firsts for the UR CTSI, including the first graduates of our Bachelor in Clinical and Translational Sciences program and the first time one of our Translational Biomedical Science PhD graduates gave a commencement speech.
