Who Can We Help with This Program?

- Have a child between the ages of 4-8 years
- Child is having consistent bowel movements
- Willing to learn how to support and build their child’s toileting skills
How Can Our Program Help?
We work with families to teach and support success in toilet training.
We do this by:
- Learning about the child and family
- Learning the child's current bathroom skills
- Asking caregivers to track toileting patterns
- Developing an individualized toileting plan, with a "Tell-Show-Do" approach:
- Tell: Describe step-by-step how to increase toileting skills
- Show: Model how to use the plan with their child
- Do: Coaching and supporting the caregiver as they practice the plan
- Providing:
- Ongoing problem solving
- Help to move toileting skills to other places, like home
Referrals
Referrals can be made by families, medical providers, or developmental disability service providers. However, we ask that a caregiver call to start services.
