Mission
To promote whole-child wellness for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), we develop University and community partnerships that are focused on access to quality and person-centered developmental and behavioral services. Our research and training guide evidence-informed practice and prepare future generations of leaders in service, research, and advocacy for people with IDD. We emphasize diversity and inclusion with and for individuals with IDD and their families in our community.
Vision
The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics envisions a world in which children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families are valued and respected, lead healthy, self-determined lives and are fully included in the community of their choice.
What is SCDD?
Our division is home to the Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities (SCDD). SCDD is part of a national network that advances policies and practices to improve the health, education, social, and economic well-being of people with developmental and other disabilities.
