Who We Are

Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is one of the Pediatric Subspecialties of the Golisano Children’s Hospital. Our team of experts cares for children, adolescents, and their families with a wide range of developmental and behavioral disorders. We are the largest program in Upstate NY offering comprehensive care to children with developmental and behavioral disorders. Our multidisciplinary team includes developmental-behavioral pediatricians, registered dietitians, pediatric nurse practitioners, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, pediatric social workers, psychologists, and others.

What We Do

We offer diagnostic evaluation as well as a range of medical and behavioral treatments for children with developmental delays and disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and intellectual disability. Our team works closely with families, primary care providers, Early Intervention, school teams, and other community agencies to ensure children and families have the supports they need. We also lead research studies to help determine what treatments are most helpful to children and families affected by different developmental disorders. Our research teams work together on studies that are supported by organizations such as the National Institutes of Health and private foundations such as Autism Speaks. Read about the history of our division
