A decade ago, we opened the doors to a new home for hope and healing. The Golisano Children’s Hospital Tower transformed pediatric care in our region by providing a family-centered environment, advanced technology, and a space designed exclusively for children. We celebrate this milestone with gratitude for the community that made it possible and excitement for the future as we continue to grow and innovate for the next generation.

2015
GCH officially opens, along with the Gosnell Family Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the only one of its kind in the Finger Lakes Region. It's a highly specialized, nationally recognized center that has provided the highest level of care available for sick or premature newborns (Level IV).
2017
The Pediatric Surgical Suite and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit open. Logan Hill, the first patient treated in the suite, is now a happy and healthy 2nd Grader!
2020
The first COVID wave causes major disruptions, but GCH quickly adapts: pediatric infectious disease experts lead the way in COVID vaccine and antibody research, and GCH nurses answer the call to volunteer to help overwhelmed adult units.
2021
CARPEDIEM machine commissioned at GCH, one of the few machines available in the nation to provide dialysis to the smallest babies. Miracle Kid Amina Mbodji becomes one of the 1st patients treated, and is now a 3-year-old full of life!
2022
The Pediatric Trauma team earns two milestones: level 1 classification to treat patients for all conditions 24/7, and—bolstered by new pediatric ambulances—the transportation team achieves a record of 300 patients transported.
2024
Interventional Radiology suite opens in the ground floor to offer state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgeries.
