Pediatric Anesthesiologist

University of Rochester Medical Center, Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong Memorial Hospital, is the regional referral center with expanding clinical services for a population of 2.2 million.  We are seeking an experienced or fellowship trained pediatric BE/BC anesthesiologist who would desire a substantive role in our new Pediatric Surgical Suite (opened in September 2017), housing 6 pediatric ORs with additional rooms dedicated for cardiac and gastroenterology procedures. The Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology works closely with our surgical colleagues in all subspecialty areas of pediatric surgery with >7000 cases total per year. With appropriate training/experience, a clinical practice with the dominant regional pediatric cardiac surgery program is possible. Those who would wish to maintain their skills in adult anesthesiology are also welcomed. An academic position is available with competitive compensation package at all ranks, tailored to individual interests in clinical service, teaching, and/or scholarly activity.  An ACGME fellowship program is in place as well as a large and well-respected residency training program.  Participation in clinical research in departmental or NIH funded studies is possible within dedicated academic time.
